RESTAURANT SOIRÉE

 

CONCEPT

 

The thesis is about the interior design process of a “fine dining”-restaurant, including its cocktail- and wine bar with lounge. Restaurant Soirée is a conceptual plan of a restaurant situated in the Swiss Alps. The restaurant is a part of a boutique hotel, which has a unique touch and an exclusive feeling. 

The thesis is supported by a thorough needs analysis and a strong concept which has been developed as a foundation for the interior design plan. For a sustainable design plan, I have chosen to immerse myself in the aspects that are important in restaurant planning.

The décor is inspired by 1920´s art déco movement and its streamlined elements. In my thesis, I explain the design aesthetics that formed the core of the art déco-movement and its history. Restaurant Soirée will serve as a focal point for culinary experiences, supported by sustainable design aesthetics.
